“Grand Canal Cultural Reading Journey” Draws a Splendid Close
11月17日，北京城市图书馆银杏谷暖意流淌，书香弥漫。由北京市文化和旅游局指导，首都图书馆携大运河沿线公共图书馆举办的“2025大运河文化阅读行”活动迎来收官之站——北京站。
On November 17, Beijing City Library (Yinggugu Branch) was imbued with warmth and literary charm. The "2025 Grand Canal Cultural Reading Journey"—spearheaded by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and co-organized by the Capital Library and public libraries along the Grand Canal corridor—reached its grand concluding stop in Beijing.
伴随北京戏曲艺术职业学院学子们的群舞《运河遥》，活动以“融古焕今 文启新元”为主题，为这场贯穿全年、跨越八省市的文化之旅点亮了精彩的终章。
Kicking off with Canal Rhapsody, a group dance presented by students of Beijing Vocational College of Opera and Arts, the event (themed “Blending Heritage with Modernity, Igniting a New Cultural Epoch”) brought a year-long, eight-province/municipality-spanning cultural odyssey to a resplendent finale.
活动由北京广播电视台主持人李杨薇担纲主持。北京大学历史学系荣休教授李孝聪、中国红楼梦学会名誉会长张庆善、一级导演暨87版《红楼梦》贾宝玉扮演者欧阳奋强、首都图书馆副馆长谢鹏等嘉宾莅临现场，与近200位读者共同见证首部运河主题短剧《运河时空客》正式发布，“重走运河之路”小程序同步上线。这些创新举措让大运河的千年文脉穿越古今，焕发新生。
Helmed by Li Yangwei of Beijing Radio and Television Station, the gathering welcomed esteemed guests including Li Xiaocong (Emeritus Professor of History, Peking University), Zhang Qingshan (Honorary President of the China Redology Society), Ouyang Fenqiang (First-Class Director and the actor of Jia Baoyu in the 1987 adaptation of Dream of the Red Chamber), and Xie Peng (Deputy Director of the Capital Library). Joined by nearly 200 readers, they witnessed two landmark launches: Canal Time and Space—the first short drama centered on the Grand Canal—and the “Retracing the Grand Canal Route” mini-program. These innovative endeavors breathe vibrant new life into the Grand Canal’s millennial cultural legacy, forging a vivid link between its storied past and dynamic present.
