PASSENGER numbers on Germany’s main line and urban railway networks continued their upward trend in 2017, according to annual figures published by the Federal Statistics Office (Destatis).

根据联邦统计局（Destatis）公布的年度数据，德国主要线路和城市铁路网络的乘客数量在2017年继续呈上升趋势。

Regional rail ridership grew by 2.4% to 2.692 billion journeys during 2017, slightly ahead of the long-distance sector, which saw passenger numbers increase 2.3% to 142 million journeys.

2017年间，区域铁路乘客人数增长2.4％达到26.92亿人次，略高于长途客运部门，该部门乘客人数增长2.3％达到1.42亿人次。

In terms of distance travelled, long-distance rail saw a 2.6% increase to 40.427 billion passenger-km while regional trains (including S-Bahnsystems in major cities but not trams and U-Bahnnetworks) grew by 1% to 54.811 billion passenger-km.

就距离而言，长途铁路客运量增加了2.6％达到404.27亿人次，而区域列车（包括主要城市的市郊铁路系统，但有轨电车和地铁除外）增长了1％，达到548.11亿人次。
