印度尼西亚雅加达至万隆高铁建设取得重要进展，至2018年6月，该项目22处控制性工程取得突破。这标志着雅万高铁项目建设进入全面实施推进新阶段。
To June, 2018, remarkable progress has been witnessed in the Jakarta-Bandung Railway construction, with 22 breakthroughs achieved in controlling works. All this marks that the railway construction work has entered into a whole-new stage.
总公司有关部门负责人介绍，雅万高铁是中国“一带一路”倡议和印尼海洋支点战略对接的重大项目，是中印尼两国共同推动建设的标志性工程，也是中国高铁全方位整体走出去第一单。雅万高铁项目启动实施以来，在两国最高领导人的关怀推动下，在中印尼两国政府有关部门的大力支持下，中印尼两国建设者千方百计克服困难，推动雅万高铁建设不断取得新进展。目前，雅万高铁项目实施的工作机制已基本到位，项目许可、融资等关键条件逐步落实。
According to the director of relevant department from China Railway, the Jakarta-Bandung Railway, an important project in the synergy between China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Indonesia’s vision for the Global Maritime Fulcrum, not only represents a symbolic project constructed by the two countries, but also the first project China holding responsible for in its “railway going-out in-all-directional way” strategy. Since its launch, contractors from the two countries, with the care of both sides’ leaders and under the support relevant departments of the two countries, devoted themselves to overcome difficulties to make progress on this project. At present, the railway’s implementing working mechanism has almost completed and other key points like project approval and financing are on the way to be finished.
雅万高铁项目全长142公里，最高设计时速350公里，采用安全可靠、技术先进、运营成熟的中国铁路技术标准，并按照印尼当地的气候、线路条件及沿线群众文化传统和生活习惯量身打造，以满足印尼人民的审美和出行需要。
The Jakarta-Bandung Railway, with a total length of 142km and a maximum design speed of 350km/h, applies China’s railway technology standard, which is safe, reliable, advanced and maturely operated. And it is also customized in accordance to the local climate, conditions, culture, custom and lifestyle along the route to satisfy Indonesian aesthetics and their need for travel.
雅万高铁建成通车后，雅加达至万隆将由现在的3个多小时缩短至40分钟，不仅将有效缓解雅加达至万隆的交通压力，为当地百姓创造方便快捷、舒适的出行条件，还将优化当地投资环境，带动沿线商业开发和旅游产业发展，加快形成高铁经济走廊，造福印尼广大民众。
Once it is finished, the travel time from Jakarta to Bandung will be shrunk to 40 minutes from over 3 hours, and will bring many benefits, such as relieving traffic pressure from Jakarta to Bandung, creating convenient and comfortable travel conditions for local people, optimizing local investing environment, flourishing the along-route business development and tourism industry as well as speeding up the formation of high-speed rail economic corridor.
该负责人表示，随着工程全面展开，该项目将极大地带动印尼施工装备、建筑材料等产业的发展，增加当地就业机会，目前已有超过2000名当地员工参加工程建设，未来还会进一步增加。同时，中国铁路持续加大对印尼员工的培训力度，支持帮助印尼建设一支自己的高铁技术力量和员工队伍。
The director also said that with development of the project, it will enormously promote the development of Indonesian construction equipment and materials industries, thus creating more jobs for the local (there are already more than 2,000 local employers involving in this project). At the same time, China railway will continue to input more training force into Indonesian employers and help them in installing its own high-speed rail technology expertise and a team of experts.
