横琴高铁站是广珠（澳）高铁鹤洲至横琴段的起始站、京哈—京港澳高铁通道沟通澳门的重要组成部分。

合作区目前基本明确，横琴高铁站选址于城市中心，考虑到高铁站有助于带动琴澳两地发展，因此需结合新的选址开展站城一体化规划研究、澳门轻轨横琴段西延线延长至高铁站方案研究，助力琴澳一体化高质量发展。

广珠（澳）高铁设计时速为350公里，线路起自广州北站，经广州白云机场、鱼珠、南沙，中山，珠海鹤洲，终至横琴口岸，可与澳门轻轨无缝换乘。
The Guangzhou-Zhuhai (Macao) High-Speed Railway starts from Guangzhou North Station and ends at Hengqin, with a designed speed of 350 km/h. It passes through Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Yuzhu, Nansha, Zhongshan, and Zhuhai Hezhou to be seamlessly interchanged with the Macao Light Railway.
建设一体化客运枢纽是横琴高铁站的重要规划。据悉，横琴高铁站距离横琴口岸仅2公里，将打造成为一体化横琴高铁综合交通枢纽。其中，枢纽片区核心区研究范围，包含广珠澳高铁横琴高铁站，规划城市轨道交通、澳门轻轨西延线等轨道交通线路。
