“Green Giant” Runs all over Shaanxi Province

“绿巨人”，是由中国国家铁路集团有限公司和中国中车联合研制的时速160公里动力集中式动车组，是新一代复兴号动车组的重要家族成员。

“Green Giant”, a powered centralized EMU with a top speed of 160 km/h, is jointly developed by China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. and CRRC Corporation Limited. It’s an important member of the new generation of the Fuxing EMU.

为了高品质满足西户铁路非电气化条件下的文旅需要和通勤功能，中车大连公司以“绿巨人”动车组为平台，在成功打造复兴号高原双源动车组和中老铁路“澜沧号”动车组之后，将为西户铁路量身打造内燃版“绿巨人”。

In order to meet the cultural and tourism demand and commuting functions with high quality, CRRC-Dalian will build “Green Giant” with internal combustion engine for Xi’an-Huxian Railway with the platform of “Green Giant” EMU, after successfully building the Fuxing Plateau dual-source EMU and the Lancang EMU of China-Laos Railway.

内燃版“绿巨人”不仅搭载了完全自主可控的绿色发动机，还具备远程智能诊断、全车Wi-Fi覆盖、灵活编组等功能，相较于一般内燃分散式城际动车组，具有牵引功率大、运行速度高、维护成本低等显著优势。

“Green Giant” with internal combustion engine not only carries a fully autonomous and controllable green engine, but also has the functions of remote intelligent diagnosis, whole-train Wi-Fi coverage and flexible grouping. Compared with general internal combustion decentralized intercity EMUs, it has significant advantages of large traction power, high speed and low maintenance cost.

目前，内燃版“绿巨人”动力车已经获得了国家铁路局的相关许可，具备正式上线开通运营的所有条件，整装待发，将为西安市的市域及市郊铁路开行提供高端装备支撑。

At present, “Green Giant” of internal combustion version has obtained permissions from the National Railway Administration. With all the conditions for official operation, “Green Giant” is ready and waiting for providing support of high-end equipment for the urban and suburban railway operation in Xi’an.
